Animal Magic
Primary seven from St. Malachy's Primary School attended a practical workshop in the Armagh Museum entitled 'Animal Magic'. The workshop offered a supportive learning environment that was challenging, skill based and made links between curriculum areas.
During their visit the children classified animals and plants, created food webs and made sketches and 3D models of forest animals and birds. The session also involved practical activities led by a Newry based artist, Jim Russell, who introduced techniques for sketching, observation and model making.
The primary seven children really enjoyed their time at the Museum and thank all who were involved in these events.
