St. Malachy's Primary School honour St. Patrick.
St. Malachy's had a day of celebration honouring St. Patrick our national Patron Saint. Primary six led a whole school assembly with a short piece of drama retelling the story of St. Patrick and how he brought Christianity to Ireland. Other children in the primary six class played the tin whistle, sang and Irish danced.
Student teacher Roisin Murphy, from St. Mary's University College also added to the atmosphere of the assembly with her skilful playing of the Irish Harp.
The day also marked L na gContaithe (County Day), were children wore their county or club colours.
Each class had an afternoon of fun, celebrating our culture in various ways.
