St. Malachy's Primary School pupils meet Kilkenny star Henry Shefflin.
On Friday morning a small group of hurlers and camogie players had the wonderful opportunity to meet one of the greatest hurling players there has ever been.
To date Henry Shefflin has won nine All-Ireland senior hurling medals and eleven All-star awards. Henry was guest speaker at the Irish News awards last Thursday night and was only too willing to sign autographs and speak to the children from St. Malachy's.
He spoke about the enjoyment that he gets from playing Gaelic games and encouraged the children to keep playing and keep enjoying our national sports.
Finnoula Mc Kenna, a past pupil of St. Malachy's also won an individual Irish News award and was congratulated by Henry Shefflin for her great achievement.
The whole staff of St. Malachy's would like to thank Henry for giving of his time and the pupils will never forgot meeting one of Ireland's greatest sportsmen.
